Comprehensive Tankless Water Heater Installation Solutions
A tankless water heater heats water as you use it, so it does not run out mid-shower as long as you stay within its flow rating. Getting there from a tank is a conversion, not a swap: the gas line and meter have to carry the unit at full fire, an indoor unit needs its own vent to the outside, and condensing models need a drain. We check each of these on a site visit, size the unit to the showers and taps you run at once, and list every item on one free, itemized estimate. We are an authorized Rinnai installer.
Why Choose Us?
- Authorized Rinnai Installer
- Gas, Vent & Drain Checked on the Site Visit
- Free, Itemized Estimates
- Old Tank Removed & Hauled Away
Is tankless right for your home?
We check four things on the site visit:
- Gas supply: the line and meter must carry the unit at full fire, which is far more than a tank draws.
- Venting: an indoor unit needs its own vent to the outside. In a D.C. historic district, a new vent on a street-facing wall can need historic-preservation review.
- Hot water use: units are sized by flow rate, for the showers and taps you run at the same time.
- Water: hard water means the unit needs flushing on a schedule.
When a new tank or a heat pump is the better choice for your home, we will tell you.
What goes into a tankless conversion price
- The unit: model and size
- Gas line or meter upgrade, if the current one cannot carry the unit
- Vent kit and the wall penetration
- Condensate drain, for condensing models
- An electrical outlet for the unit
- Isolation valves, so the unit can be flushed
- Removal and haul-away of the old tank
- Permit and inspection, where required
Every line is on one free estimate before any work starts.
